After hanging the wreath on the door, I stepped inside where one furry resident layed on the floor, with all four legs in the air while I gave him a tummy rub!

Thanks Karena. Yes I just had a haircut.....oh the wreath is cute, Oh OK I thought you meant me for a minute sorry ;)
DeleteIt looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCheers me dears!
DeleteWhat a stunning entry - I'd say it is worthy of your beautiful work.
ReplyDeletexo,
Phylis
Thanks Phylis. I thought you'd approve of the door:)
DeleteYour client has great taste. I admire the symmetry of her planters with the beautiful bespoke wreath you created. Then I also like the symmetry of her matching outdoor lights. Altogether it is so elegant.
ReplyDeleteOh Paul, her dog LIKES you! Dogs are the best gauge of human character. They know right away if a person is good or bad, Barkley is like that too. Dogs get excited when they know the person is good and the opposite if they don't like them or if the person doesn't like them. So most of the times I have to stop Barkley from his excitement. So funny! Just be thankful, that the dog was not in a bad mood or want to chase you out of there. He must have sensed all of your excitement! :)
Thanks Pamela, I'm very dog friendly, only ever been seen off by one foamy-mouthed alsatian during my visits. Apparently, he wasn't a fan of christmas!
DeleteWhat?!? No tummy rubs included?!? Hm, here I was, having pondered a large order of your beautiful wreaths.. but now.... I am not so sure anymore! :-)
ReplyDeleteJokes aside, another stunning, stunning wreath and a glorious entrance. Matching wreaths with planters, now, that's my kind of thinking. I have been known to try to match and coordinate to the point where the rest of the family just shake their heads in disbelief... Just like a friend of mine, who has been known to buy one particular pack of biscuits because the colour of the packaging matched her kitchen décor at that moment...
Well, enough match-babbling. Wishing you a relaxing Sunday!
Helena
Cheers Helena. The lady of the house inspired us with her absolute love of Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' the client always gets what the client wants.... apart from tummy rubs, you have to have four legs, a waggy tail and a hairy face for that:)
DeleteHi Paul,
ReplyDeleteThe wreath looks stunning.
What fun to see inside these super chic homes as part of your job! Only nosey people apply!
Have a lovely day,
Liz x
No time allocated for noseying Mademoiselle Liz I run a tight ship here, eyes front, no dilly-dallying, spit-spot!:)
DeleteThat is one hell os a swellelegant entrance but only more fab by your wreath.
ReplyDeletexo jane
Thank you Jane, Happy Christmas to you and those wildcats!
DeleteDear Paul - Mr. Magic definitely at work here - La Porte Noire is very sophisticated - your wreath completes a perfect doorway.
ReplyDeleteThanks you very much Rosemary. And for my next trick I will completely dissap...
DeleteSo handsome! What type of plant is in the planters? I just posted a photo of a swag I made on our black door! Hope you are enjoying your busy season!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy, The evergreen shrubs are Skimmia japonica 'Rubella'. One of my favourites:)
DeleteGorgeous! It's perfect. I'm seriously thinking of painting my door black now, which means I would have to paint the rest of my house and remove my really cool storm door because that would hide my new black door...oh forget it, this is just too complicated. I'll just pop over to your blog instead.
ReplyDeletePop over anytime you like Amelia. The black high gloss door is always open at the Magical Christmas Wreath Company Blog:)
DeletePaul, this is just so elegant. I think it would be difficult to achieve this look if you were not a bit restrained, it is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, darling...
Happy Holidays Marsha.
DeleteJust lovely Paul! You are really talented!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week.
Madelief
Thank you Madelief you are very kind, I am so pleased that you like the wreath:)
DeleteThis has had me considering painting my front door black, I'v been thinking about it all week now
ReplyDeleteGet it sprayed for that high gloss glamour Tabitha!
DeleteOoh I've got skimmia too - it's two posts back.
ReplyDeleteI love those little pine outfits that you dressed your Skimmia in.
DeleteYou have the most posh clients, Sir Paul :) Another beautiful wreath!! Very tailored and stylish.
ReplyDeleteLoi
Cheers Loi. It could be perhaps my favourite wreath of the season:)
DeleteGosh, this looks gorgeous. Makes my whippy little 'rustic' willow wreath look rather sad! What a talent you have.
ReplyDeleteI love those willow wreaths Jane even better when they are home made:)
DeleteI bet you could get a pretty penny for a tummy rub, canine OR feline or otherwise! I love the 6 on the door. btw..speaking of 6..that's how many times I had to read this to "get it"...except for the tummy rub part...I got that because I long for it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you 'Got it'. Thought of you this week when the Christmas music got a little funky. We had a soul train Christmas special going on right here!
DeleteWow Paul, your wreaths are truly beautiful. I have not seen anything like them at all in the states. Love the tummy rubs...I knew you were that kind of guy. :) You must be swamped right now! Hope you are enjoying the season too..Though you had time for a Christmas dinner so that's good!

Kim
Hi Kim, we are really swamped and enjoying it too, carols playing, a carpet of pine needles, boxes of wreaths and festive handmade goodies stacked up and being shipped daily, it's wonderful.
DeleteHi Paul - Wish Torquay wasn't so far from London then I could stop by to say hello and view your beautiful wreaths close up! I'd also buy some candles - I have a penchant for really lovely ones burning around the house. Right now my kitchen candle is Blackcurrant and tomato - definately a keeper - and it's from Devon. Must try to get more of these.Heading home next week and am excited.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas season - sending best wishes and many blessings for the coming year.
Hugs, mince pies and tummy rubs!!!
-Mary-
Hello Mary, I accidentally deleted your comment but managed to cut and paste above from my phone.
DeleteI think I may have sampled that candle before it has blends the scent of tomato leaves, lovely!
Hope you are having a great time in Devon enjoying lots of cream teas. Have a fab Christmas.

DeleteDear Magical Paul,
ReplyDeleteWe got delivered our beautiful wreath and candles today by your friendly elf.
The wreath is so beautiful and make my eyes tearly. This is a real fantacy. The lovely winter scenely in the forest are on this wreath. The scent of candles are wonderfully elegant. The magic of those two worked instantly and our house transfomed to Christmas merrily.
Thank you so much. I will send you the photos of your wreath in our place later.
Please say hello to your friendly elf.
